Ataturk International Airport
Ataturk International Airport is located in Yesilkoy, Turkey. The airport opened its doors in 1924 and is the primary International airport serving Istanbul on the city’s European side. In 2011, the airport was the eighth busiest airport in Europe. The airport features four terminals, a general aviation terminal, a terminal for cargo flights, a terminal for International fights and a terminal for domestic flights. Numerous airlines serve the airport which includes Sky Airlines, Izair, Pegasus Airlines, Atlasiet and others that connect fliers to destinations which include Chicago, Cape Town, Birmingham and Amsterdam. The airport served over 37.3 million passengers in 2011 and they practice high safety and security standards to ensure the welfare of all passengers and guests to the airport.
The airport features a number of modern amenities and facilities which include a postal office, ATMs, shops, restaurants, cafes, baggage check, lost and found department, walkways that connect the terminals, duty free shops, charging stations, a first aid station, lounges, baby changing facilities, and business services. For weary travellers the airport has a hotel inside which features 85 rooms and offers hourly accommodations. Each room is equipped with minibars and Internet access.
Other facilities on-site include the headquarters for Turkish Airlines which is located in the Turkish Airlines General Management Building.

Airport Parking and Transfers
Ataturk Airport features two car parks, one which serves the International terminal and the second serves the domestic terminal. Long term and short term parking is available as well as valet parking and parking for the disabled. The domestic International terminal features over 7,000 parking spots.
Ataturk International Airport features a number of ground transportation options which include car rentals from major companies such as Hertz, Budget, Avis, and Alamo, as well as, others, Rail can be accessed in the Esenier Terminal, bus service from Havas which operates and airport shuttle and taxis which are available outside the terminals.
