George Bush Intercontinental Airport is located in Texas, north of downtown Houston and serves the Houston-Sugar Land-Baytown metropolitan area. George Bush Intercontinental Airport is the 10th busiest for total passengers serving over 40 million passengers. American Airlines average 800 departures daily making the airport the United Airlines largest hub. Continental Airlines utilizes the airport as their headquarters and it is also their largest hub with 771 daily departures.

The airport is the second largest air facility in Texas and offers flights to states within the US, as well as, flights to Canada, South and Central America, Africa, Europe, Mexico and Asia. The airport features five long runways and is served by a multitude of major airlines that offer connecting and direct flights to various destinations in and around the United States and the world.
