The airport is a modern airport that is comfortable with large areas for passengers to relax and wait for their flights as well as enjoy many airport amenities which includes some fabulous displays of art throughout the airport terminals.
Currently, the airport is building a third terminal that will be between the current runway and a runway that is currently under construction. The airport is designed to be user friendly to all travellers utilizing the airport that are disabled with special services and facilities to ensure their needs are catered to. Also, special facilities and services are provided for families travelling with children.
Shenzhen Airport opened its doors to air traffic in 1991, and in 1993 became an International airport. The airport is China’s fourth largest airport with an annual passenger flow of about 25 million. The airport connects flyers to over 100 International and domestic cities and regions via 140 air routes.
Shenzhen Airport has three terminal buildings which serve a number of airlines that include Sichuan Airlines, Xiamen Airlines, Hainan Airlines, China Southern Airlines, Air China, Shandong Airlines, Korean Air, Asia Airlines of Korea a Thailand Bangkok Airway as well as many others.
