Suvarnabhumi Airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport which means “The Golden Land” is the gateway to Asia and is the primary airport for Bangkok. The travellers’ building is comprised of seven floors and two basements. International and domestic arrivals are located on the second floor while CIP rooms, restaurants and shops are situated on the third floor. The fourth floor serves all International and domestic departures with airline check-in services, customs, immigration and airport service information counters. The fifth floor houses the offices of Star Alliance and Thai Airways International Public Company Limited. The sixth floor houses Suvarnbhumi Airport Service Center and the seventh floor arranges cargo to be transported to platforms and luggage conveyors. There are sev7 four storey concourse buildings which serve domestic and International passengers. The airport features two runways and 51 contact gates.

Suvarnabhumi Airport features three fire brigade and rescue buildings and a power substation. Also located on the grounds of the airport is the Novatel Hotel Suvarnabhumi which is located close to the passenger terminal and offers a number of facilities such as a fitness room, spa, restaurants, and function rooms.

The airport is a comfortable airport with an array of services that include charging stations, mailboxes, ATMs and banks. The airport is family friendly with a number of areas where families can sit and enjoy a snack, meal or beverage, or purchase a good book and relax in the terminal waiting area for their flight to arrive.

Suvarnabhumi Airport is conscious of the social and environment and strives to protect the environment and to enhance a better quality of life for those that live around the airport as well as the community that surrounds the airport. The airport measures the quality of the air, noise and water level and continuously plants trees within the community. The airport is very dedicated to the community and its people and goes great lengths to support them through various programs such as educational support via training, book granting and construction funds.

Airport Parking and Transfers

Suvarnabhumi Airport features two parking garages that are located in front of the passenger terminal and accommodate approximately five thousand vehicles. The second parking garage accommodates a thousand vehicles.

Suvarnabhumi Airport Public Transport Centre offers a waiting area to connect to various forms of transportation such as car rentals, limousines, and taxis. There is also a bus terminal within the centre. Petrol stations and a convenient store are also featured in the Public Transport Centre.
