Myanmar: When to Go
Plan to visit Myanmar between November and February when the monsoon rains have stopped and the temperature is more pleasant. March until May is also fine, but the temperature during this time would be at its highest.
Myanmar’s climate is tropical monsoon, with the rainy season occurring from May until late in October, characterised by strong winds and thunderstorms accompanied by heavy rain that occur almost daily. The cool and dry season in Myanmar occurs from November until February when the temperature is definitely pleasant, ranging from 21 °C to 27 ° C or just around 70 °F to 80 °F. However, during the months of March and April, the temperature could soar to a high of 43 °C or 110 °F and humidity is at its highest as well. It is quite normal to see snow on the mountain peaks of Myanmar by November until January.
