What to do in Cuba

Cuba is the largest Caribbean island and is home to historical sites, fantastic beaches, stunning buildings, and rich culture. Whether you’re looking for vibrant cities, off the beaten path locations, dive spots, national parks, or good food and music, Cuba has got you covered.

Comb through Cuba by discovering the classic Caribbean island destination – the beaches! Bring your beach towel to Varadero Beach. Enjoy diving and other water sports in Cayos Coco and Guillermo. Check out the quaint beach town of Baracoa. And pick between the popular Guardalavaca and the secluded Cayo Largo del Sur, which also has nudist spots for your perfect tan.

Beyond the beach, go and explore Cuba’s amazing parks. There’s the massive Valle de Vinales, La Guira National Park, and Gran Parque Natural Topes de Collantes. You can also enjoy the world-famous bird watching at Cienaga de Zapata National Park.

Get your fill of culture, food, and music and visit the amazing cities of Cuba. Visit historical sites like Parque Cespedes in Santiago. Visit Trinidad and dance salsa with the locals and other travellers every night. Fly to Havana for more live music, and while you’re there visit La Habana Vieja, which is the city’s old town listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Of course, when in Cuba, you have to eat Cuban food. You should definitely have a go at Cuban roast pork, yucca con mojo, and the super crispy chicharrones. Don’t forget to get a cuppa of Havana’s coffee too.
