What to do in Switzerland
Switzerland is a country in Central Europe, and has borders to other popular European countries like France, Italy, Austria, and Germany. It’s filled to the brim with stunning landscapes, which make it a paradise for nature lovers and travellers who want a break from the bustling city life.
Start you Swiss story and visit the country’s seven manmade wonders. Check off the list and visit the Castle of Chillon, Castles of Bellinzona, Lavaux vineyards, the Abbey of St. Gallen, the Sphinx observatory, Landwasser viaduct, and Grande Dixence.
Switzerland also has seven natural wonders that you absolutely can’t miss. After all, you should see more than the Swiss Alps when in Switzerland. Make your way to the famous Matterhorn, the northern walls of the Jungfrau and Eiger in the Swiss Alps, Aletsch Glacier, Lake Lucerne, the lakes of the Upper Engadine, Rhine falls, and the mountain lake Oeschinensee.
Are you an adrenaline junkie? Have a ball in Interlaken. It’s the mecca of skydivers, extreme base jumpers, and water skiers. And nearby is the Jungfraujoch, which is the highest train station in Europe at over 3,400 metres high.
Switzerland is also a lovely country to visit for its culture and historic sites. Take pictures of the Augusta Raurica, Einsiedeln Abbey, Fraumunster, the Geneva Museum of Art and History and more.
Of course, you can’t visit Switzerland and not try the local food like their cheese and chocolate. And when you’re in the country, you should experience a winter holiday here for skiing and snowboarding. At night, you can even experience the best stargazing of your life!
